Cirque Dreams: Holidaze Sunrise Theatre reviews
Great time!
"Although I generally enjoy visiting for performances, this particular night was exceptional! I've watched Cirque Dreams numerous times, and they consistently impress. They never fail to deliver. I must mention that, due to certain constraints, I had to utilize a wheelchair. The staff were incredibly accommodating! Zach, the kind individual who transported me to the entrance, was exceptionally courteous. Opting for premier parking is highly advised. Smooth entry and exit from the venue. Enjoyed a nice perspective from the lawn, and received assistance returning to the entrance. I'd like to express my gratitude to the team for their professionalism. I never felt judged or belittled. The entire staff was genuinely helpful. Huge thanks, Starlake team!!!"
This Card Was Garbage!!!
Here is the rearranged version of the review with a few words switched:
Every year the cards for Chicago seem to get better!! I am a diehard MMA fan and was so excited with this card!! After 3 amazing cards in Chicago over the years I was disappointed when the Johnson vs. Texiera match was announced and figured I'd give it one more shot and then the main event gets cancelled. Typically Dana White scrambles to get a good replacement but no love for Chicago, leaving Holly Holm as the main event and coming off a win at that!! Unbelievable!! So upset!! I spent my last dollar on a fight in Chicago. Guess I'll have to travel to Vegas.
Boccelli was just ok
The concert was marketed as "Cirque Dreams", and not the "LA Philharmonic, Female singer, and oh a little Cirque Dreams". When I pay to go to a concert, I expect that artist to be what I see and hear primarily. We were ready to walk out after the intermission because Cirque Dreams only performed two sets and then left the stage to the LA Philharmonic and another female solo singer. Folks around us began wondering if Cirque Dreams was coming back. However, in all fairness, the second half of the concert was much better and met everyone's expectations. Cirque Dreams remained on stage more often, and many of his better known work was highlighted which got the audience to perk up. We were dissapointed because, however, in all fairness, the second half of the concert was much better and met everyone's expectations. Next time i'll just buy the CD/Video in order to get our fill of Cirque Dreams. We're glad we stuck it out, but of course, half the experience was just being at the Hollywood Bowl.
My new favorite live band!!!
I have to say this has to be the best concert I've been to, even though I've been to a lot of concerts and seen many bands. We missed the first band as we arrived a little late, and Rise Against was just starting. They played most of their hits; however, I wish they would keep their political views to themselves. The Cirque Dreams took the stage was amazing from the second I was amazed. The sound was amazing, and the light show was awesome. We were on the floor right next to the sound area and were stoked when we noticed the runway and mini stage set up in there which Dave used a few times, including a couple acoustic songs in the encore. They ended up playing for just under three hours, which is unheard of for most bands, especially ones with that much energy. I don't see how they can do it night after night. Anyone who is a rock fan and even a casual Foo Fighters fan, as I was, should make an effort to see these guys live.
